🪵 The $15K Job Hiding in the Woods
Untapped, high-ticket services like this exist in nearly every town.
Hope you had a nice holiday weekend. I was up in the mountains for Memorial Day and saw a high-ticket, niche local business that reminded me of something:
There are underserved business opportunities everywhere, if you just look at the specific needs of your area.
The weather, the architecture, the environment — they all create unique local problems that people need solved.
👇 So here’s the business…
I saw a trailer for a company called The Log Doctor.

Naturally, I looked them up…

Turns out, they specialize in log home restoration and cleaning (sanding, sealing, staining, etc) - the kind of work that’s absolutely essential if you own a log cabin.

Here’s what’s wild:
There are thousands upon thousands of log homes in this area.
I could only find 3 companies locally that offer this service.
Each job ranges from $15K–$100K+, depending on the size and scope.
These aren’t little handyman jobs. They’re high-ticket, highly niche services that are desperately needed — and often booked out for months because of how few people offer them.
Maybe you don’t live in the mountains… but here’s the takeaway:
Every region has its own hidden needs.
If you live in the mountains, it might be log cabins.
If you’re near the ocean, it might be salt damage restoration, boat cleaning, or corrosion prevention.
In the desert? Dust mitigation, AC cleaning, or stucco repair.
In older towns? Historic home maintenance, chimney repairs, plaster restoration.
There are high-ticket, niche businesses hiding all around you — if you start really paying attention.
Look around your town.
Notice the problems that repeat.
Find what’s too specific for big companies to care about.
That’s where the low-competition money is.
This one got my wheels turning, hope it did for you as well. Have a great week!
